Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the Thule roof rack on top of our 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now this can be a great option for you if you're running out of space in the back of your vehicle and you need to store any of those additional items somewhere else because maybe you got a lot of people with you or you're already storing a lot of your other luggage back here. Putting it on top of your roof is going to be a great option, especially if you do have a roof box. So let's check it out. The reason why I say this is great for more items like roof boxes is because we don't have a lot of real estate on our crossbars and that's because these are flush mounted crossbars and what that means is we don't have any overhang, it just ends at the tower. So, which is nice if you want that more clean design to your crossbars, but if you want anything to put up here like a kayak or skis, that's gonna be a lot more difficult because you're gonna have to reach over here a lot more. more

Now this can be a great option for you if you're running outta space in the back of your vehicle, whether you have a lot of people back here already or you have any items that are longer that just can't fit back here, anything like skis or a kayak. So let's check it out. The kit we have today is gonna be a fixed mounting point kit. So what that means is since we have flush rails, the way this is going to attach is we're gonna have two bolts that go into the fit kit itself and bolt into your roof. And you won't be able to really play around with your crossbar spread like with some other roof rack options. more

With fifty inch cross bars we can put a bunch of different stuff up on our roof. We would probably have enough room to put a cargo basket up here, maybe a bike rack on top of that. Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima round bar roof rack system on our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We all know that Jeeps are very capable vehicles, but putting a roof rack on top of it is going to definitely widen its amount of capabilities. I really like our etrailer basket on top, just because if you have a bunch of people inside, you have a bunch of other stuff in the back, we can actually pretty much double the amount that we can fit in the back up on top of our roof. Another thing you can do is we have J-style carriers that you can put up on top to get two kayaks to and from your destination.With 48 inches of crossbars, we are going to have a lot of different things we can put up on there. I've seen a bunch of different bike racks on there. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system consisting of part numbers TH7602-TH7602. These are the Aeroblade Edge load bars and these also come in black as part number TH602B-TH7602B and to hold them into place on the Jeep Grand Cherokee you'll be using the fit kit part number THKIT3142. The Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof such as bike racks, cargo baskets or cargo boxes. It does have a nice factory style look to it once they're installed because of the flush mount design of it and it does have this rubber strip up at the top here.That means you can utilize T-track accessories with this once it's installed. To put those in place you simply remove the end cap, remove the strip, slide them into place and then cut the strip the length around it. With this removed you can see how it attaches to the roof. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima JetStream Roof Rack System for Fixed Mounts.Starting with the part numbers Y00425, these are the JetStream cross bars up at the top. These also come in silver. Underneath that we have the SkyLine Tower System to hold everything in place as a fixed mount, and that's going to be part number Y00148. Finally, to hold it in place on to our fixed mounts, we have the Landing Pad System here, and that's going to be Y00244. That does come in a quantity of four.This is a great roof rack system that can carry a wide variety of accessories ranging from bike racks, to cargo baskets, to cargo boxes. Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Rhino-Rack RVP roof rack system for fixed mounting points, offering the Vortex Arrow crossbars. The part number is RRRvP27.Now here's what our RVP system's going to look like, installed. As you can see, this roof rack system's going to offer a flush style foot peg. This is much more in line with what you see from the factory. It's more of a streamlined roof rack system. Very, very quiet, we've tested this out on the road and it's really, you don't even notice that it's up there.Now with a flush-bar style roof rack like this, you do have a very attractive look, but you do lose a little bit of bar space. more

With this, you simply push the center strip down and then slide them in place. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack RSP Roof Rack system for flush factory side rails, part number RSP27. The Rhino-Rack RSP Roof Rack is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, while freeing up space inside your vehicle. Plus it has the added bonus of looking like it's factory installed once it is installed. This can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes, although you are limited with space as to how many things you can load up, since it's cut off at this point here.Now, if you wanted a bar that goes further past that, where you can fit multiple bike racks, per se, then you would have to upgrade to a different style of roof system from Rhino-Rack. This comes as one kit and has everything that you see here: the bars, the legs, and the fit kit that goes inside the flush-mounted side rails. It bolts into place and uses fixed mounts, so you don't have to worry about measuring out from center to center to make sure everything is evened.One thing I would like to note about the installation process is sometimes these can stick out a little bit further when you're initially installing them, so you may have to apply a little bit of pressure to tighten down the bolt in the center here to hold it in place. more

Best 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Roof Rack Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best roof rack options available for a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is going to be with an E-group package. Right now, we have our four different styles, from our four manufacturers here; starting with Yakima, Inno, Thule, and Rhino Rack.First, let's go ahead and start with some of the basic differences between these bars. With both the Thule and the Yakima, we're going to have an aero-style bar, meaning it's going to be thicker at the front, smaller at the rear, and that's going to help out with aerodynamics while you travel. That's going to be the same with the elliptical style, which is going to cut down wind noise and drag, as well.However, with the Inno, we have the square bar style. Now, that is going to make some noise while you drive, however, you can purchase fairings to attach to the square bars to cut down that wind noise and drag and take some of that away while you drive.With the Yakima, the Thule, and the Rhino Rack, we can use T-track accessories. more

This is the landing pad kit to fit specifically on your Jeep Grand Cherokee.The Yakima RoundBar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes. With the RoundBars, you may experience some noise while you drive, but Yakima does offer fairings, which you can find on etrailer.com to cut down that wind noise and drag as well. Also with our end caps here, we do have plastic knockouts that can be removed and replaced with the Yakima SKS lock systems, which are sold separately. So, you can actually secure this to your roof, but you can also make it keyed alike with the accessories that you're hauling as well.It's also very easy to use. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing part number WB-S17. This is the Whispbar Through Bar Roof Rack Crossbars. In addition, we'll be using part number WB-K624. This is the custom fit kit for the roof rack system. This system allows the crossbars to custom fit in our Jeep Grand Cherokee.Speaker 2: Now, you'll notice that the Whispbars give you an aerodynamic design with a factory look. Rhino-Rack Euro Square Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be test fitting the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with Euro Square Crossbars, part numbers ds1375b and dk234. Now to begin our test fit we've already gone ahead pre-assembled our crossbars and Fit Kit. The Fit Kit came with four rubber pads and four clamps. The bars also do come with the feet. The plastic pad for the foot can be attached to the foot in either direction indicated by the arrow.The instructions found in the Fit Kit do indicate which position the arrow will point. We'll now go ahead and attach the rubber foot from the Fit Kit to the plastic pad on our foot. more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Alright, today on this 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee were going to do a test fit of a Thule roof rack system using the Thule aero bars and the Rapid Crossroads foot pads. Our vehicle has already been equipped with a factory roof rack. Well go ahead and start of our roof rack loosely assembled according to the instructions so all we got to do is place it on the factory roof rack. Alright, well take the first load bar and install it on the factory roof rack. Well slip the straps underneath of the factory roof rack and around to the clips on the other side. Okay, now we lined up our cross bar with a mark that was already on the factory roof rack, we used that to square things up. more
